ARE ALL CARBS BAD?

NO!!! With the "keto" craze draining people's wallets, I believe it may have robbed their common sense as well. Without proper carbs you do not get the vitamins and minerals your body needs. Simply put, carbs come in many shapes and sizes and a basic understanding is necessary for you to make the right choices for your health.

THERE ARE THREE TYPES OF CARBS:

  1. Sugar...simple most basic carbohydrate

  2. Starches...complex carbohydrates because they are simple ones strung together

  3. Fiber...also a complex carbohydrate

Basically, eat any carbohydrate in it's NATURAL form. No refinement or processing, bleaching, food additives, or anything else that alters their natural state. These are called CLEAN, WHOLE, OR HEALTHY CARBS and are FRUITS and VEGETABLES. They provide wonderful nutrients the body needs to carry out its daily functions and also provide the fiber you need to keep the digestive system healthy.

When it comes to the confusion surrounding carbs, remember nature knows best.. fruits and vegetables in every color of the rainbow and , of course add white and black. Fill your plate as full and as high as you want with these delicious treats.

And please remember, IF YOU CANNOT PRONOUNCE IT OR DO NOT KNOW WHAT IT IS

DON'T PUT IT IN YOUR MOUTH. And that goes for everyone!
